Dolby Atmos Mastering Cornwall

Dolby Atmos, the latest sound technology adds 3d spatial sound in a truly new listening experience.

In 2021 we decided to invest in the equipment to be able to offer Cornwall’s only Dolby Atmos mastering suite. We installed a 7.1.4 system – that’s 12 speakers. 3 front, 2 side, 2 rear, 4 in the ceiling and 1 LFE (subwoofer).

We can carry out this service for film, video or music producing the master ADM files that will allow for outputs in all Dolby Atmos speaker configurations from 7.1.4 down to Binuaral, a kind of modified stereo best listened to on headphones.

Stereo has left and right, as we moved to surround we added rear speakers giving us left right and front to back sound effects. Atmos adds speakers in the ceiling, above your head and the new sound bars are able to reproduce this by upward facing speakers and signal processing magic.
